Candied Yams

Candied Yams does NOT just need to be for Thanksgiving!

This is a staple in our home because as a Mom I’m always trying to get healthy food into my children. This easy peasey recipe is always a winner.

 

Ingredients:

2-4 Sweet Potatoes

2 Tbsp Coconut Oil

1 Tsp Cinnamon

2 Tbsp Maple Syrup

½ Bag 365 Brand Marshmallows

 

Directions:

  1. Rinse Sweet potatoes and place into an instapot (whole) with a steamer grate, add 1 cup filtered water and cook for 25 minutes.
  2. Once done, release steam and carefully take off the skin of the sweet potatoes and place them into a bowl and mash with a fork or potato masher. Add coconut oil and cinnamon and maple syrup.
  3. Place mixture into a glass baking pan and place marshmallows on top and cook in the oven on broil for 5 minutes to toast the marshmallows.
